[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]The "Sadikoun" parliamentary bloc, the political wing of the "Asaib Ahl al-Haq" party, joined the parliamentary blocs that decided to give confidence to the cabinet cabinet of Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi.
The representative of the parliamentary bloc, Fadel Al-Fatlawi, told the Iraqi News Agency that "the Sadiqun bloc will vote for Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi in the session of granting confidence, despite some observations recorded on the government program."
Currently, the bloc, and its leader Qais Khazali, is one of the traditional allies of the "Al-Fateh" coalition led by Hadi al-Amiri (48 seats out of 329).
Walkers
The "Saeron" majority bloc (54 seats in parliament out of 329) led by Muqtada al-Sadr, had expressed his official position on Allawi's cabin, in a special threatening language.
The leader of the movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, issued a statement signed in his name, threatening to "sit-in in the Green Zone in the event that the Allawi government does not obtain confidence in Parliament."
But the Sadr bloc in Parliament (other parties) stipulated to approve Allawi's line-up, two conditions: the first is to hand over the ministers' "seviers" (CVs) one day before the voting session, and the second: conduct the vote after the end of the notes on these CVs.
The conquest
Returning to the parliamentary blocs divided between supporters and opponents of the Allawi government, the "conquest" coalition, which is the second power in the Iraqi parliament, and which includes the majority of the popular crowd factions, announced last Sunday, officially, its support for the Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, by attending the session and giving confidence.
The influence within the parliamentary "Al-Fateh" coalition is shared between two main heads, which are both the leader of the Badr Organization (military) Hadi al-Amiri and the Secretary-General of Asaib Ahl al-Haq (military faction) Qais Khazali, the most famous enemy of the American presence in Iraq.
Given the level of political rivalry taking place in the country around Allawi's booth, it was noticeable that the "Al-Fateh" coalition and its leader did not raise any specific demands or conditions in forming the Allawi government.
But Qais Khazali, his ally in the parliamentary bloc, according to the statements of his deputies, wanted Allawi through his government program to "include a timetable to get the American forces out of Iraq."
Sunni house
On the other hand, the Sunni house is living in the midst of a split over whether to support the Allawi government, or not, over how Allawi formed his government.
"The National Coalition" (21 seats in parliament) led by Iyad Allawi, which combines the Sunni and secular identities, refused from his first position to assign Allawi, as prime minister from the ground, and he justified this by being "refuses to be a false witness and the recruitment of a president from outside Iraq ( Iran), "stressing that he is" supportive of the demands of the demonstrators. "
But deputies from both the "Iraqi forces" and "the national axis" said they had reached "significant progress" in government formation negotiations, in addition to expressing more than 40 deputies from the Sunni component, their willingness to vote on Allawi's booth.
The head of the "Bayrak Al-Khair" bloc, MP Mohammed Al-Khaldi, revealed in a press statement, last Sunday, that "dialogues between the Sunni and Allawi blocs have reached advanced stages where more than 40 deputies from the Sunni component out of 64 deputies representing the component within the parliament dome, expressed their position Supporter of the next government and their willingness to vote by giving it confidence. "
Kurdish house
Until the end of last week, the Kurds, who were most opposed to Allawi, were claiming that "most of his cabinet booths include bipartisan ministers whose party tendencies of Sadr and Fateh are known."
In the Iraqi parliament, the Kurds represent the Kurdistan Democratic Party led by Nechirvan Barzani (grandson of Mustafa Barzani, the founder of the party) with 25 seats, and then the "Patriotic Union of Kurdistan" led by Kosert Rasul Ali, with 18 seats.
But Iraqi sources said, a delegation of them "agreed with Allawi after an agreement they committed to last Monday."
The aim of the agreement is to "add a fourth ministerial portfolio to the quota granted to them."
Among the demands, which sources said, "It was agreed upon", granting the Kurds a state ministry for the affairs of the region, to become 4 ministries for the Kurds, instead of 3, while the fourth ministry will be given to the representative of the Kurdistan region in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
A source close to the consultations told Al-Hurra website that the call of the United States Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, played a role in "making concessions" in favor of the Kurds and Sunnis.
"Wisdom" stream
Ammar al-Hakim's current movement, one of the political blocs lagging behind in announcing its position regarding granting confidence to Allawi's cabinet, remained or not.
Observers were still watching the position of the current, which was expected to be announced by the leader of the current, Ammar al-Hakim, especially with the approach of the voting session for the squad.
For the government to obtain the confidence of Parliament, an absolute majority (50 percent + 1) is required for the number of members present (not the total number).
And last Wednesday, Allawi announced the completion of the government formation, which he said consists of competent independent ministers, calling on Parliament to hold an extraordinary session, to give it confidence, expected to be held today, Sunday.
Allawi does not enjoy the support of the continuous popular movement, since October 2019, as he demands the appointment of an independent figure who did not hold high positions in advance, and away from dependency abroad.
