Baghdad - Awa - Nassar Hajj
The Prime Minister’s Adviser for Elections Affairs, Abdul-Hussein Al-Hindawi, denied today, Tuesday, the existence of short-term electoral cards for illegal use, while indicating that the Commission will prosecute those who transmit fake information that undermines the credibility of its procedures .
Al-Hindawi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The talk about the existence of short-term electronic electoral cards that can be used illegally in the upcoming elections, are false allegations ."
He added, "The Electoral Commission will prosecute anyone who transmits false statements and information that undermine the credibility of its official procedures," noting that "any candidate who is proven to be involved in the illegal use of electoral cards exposes himself to losing his electoral right ."
