    Today, Wednesday, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced the achievement of advanced achievement rates in the model school buildings project.
    The director of the Department of National and School Projects in the Municipality, Nazim Nasser Hamidi, said, "The first phase of the school buildings project includes a thousand schools throughout Iraq in 15 governorates distributed according to the population percentage, based on three criteria represented in the population ratio, as well as mud schools in each governorate and double and triple shifts." ". Hamidi added, "There were problems in handing over the lands, existing conflicts and abuses, in addition to some investigations of the soil, since the design was unified on all lands, and therefore, for example, the Chabayish in Nasiriyah are not like the mountains in Kirkuk, and therefore the nature of the soil differs," stressing, "It was done." Addressing soil problems, transgressions and conflicts during the first six months.
    He pointed out that "achievement rates vary according to the location and its problems, and most of the technical problems have been addressed with the exception of some financial problems due to the end of the fiscal year and the financial crisis due to the Russian-Ukrainian war, as all of these are reasons that led to companies not financing from the companies' country of origin," noting that "some companies She resorted to internal borrowing by dealing with banks, and the other part obtained financing from companies in her country, such as Port Jina, the Basra branch, which works in the field of energy. 
    He stressed, "The financial problems are in the process of being resolved, and work is underway in full swing, and the project will be completed on time."
    In turn, the engineer residing in the schools, Suhad Salih, said: "The Public Works and Maintenance Department is supervising the project of model schools in Basra, implemented by the Chinese company, Port Jaina." And Saleh continued, "The work began more than eight months ago in the outskirts of Basra, then successively the work began in the rest of the outskirts of Basra with varying completion rates, reaching in the outskirts of Basra from 70% to 80%." And she stressed, "There is progress in the work, and during the coming months, the pace of work will be accelerated until the required achievement is reached."
