The Ministry of Industry and Minerals has intensified its efforts to develop various production activities in the ministry's factories spread across the country, especially in the chemical and petrochemical sectors, in addition to the ministry's adoption of an action strategy to reform the economic environment, strengthen the investment policy, and develop the necessary plans for the advancement of this vital sector.

For her part, the Dean of the Faculty of Business Economics at Al-Nahrain University, Dr. Nagham Hussein, emphasized the necessity of intensifying government support for petrochemical industries projects and providing the necessary spare tools for old and new equipment, as well as providing the necessary amounts for them and providing incentives for the productive forces in companies and industrial factories.
Dr. Hussein indicated that "Iraq has succeeded in establishing pioneering petrochemical industries with high competitive capabilities in global markets, which exposed it to many quantitative and non-quantitative obstacles aimed at clamping down on its products and limiting its ability to access global consumption markets, especially European ones.
