On Monday, a member of the Human Rights Movement, Hussein Ali Al-Karawi, considered the moves of the US ambassador, Elena Romanowski, an obstacle to the government, noting that the moves of the US ambassador are of concern, especially with her support for well-known Sunni forces.

Al-Karawi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma agency, "The suspicious movements of the ambassador are now troubling the country, especially with the adoption of this move by Sunni personalities."
He added, "The presence of US Ambassador Elena Romanowski is like a poisoned gift from America to the Iraqi people," noting that "these moves are exciting and provocative, and the national political forces must take a firm stand against these suspicious moves."
He continued, "These moves are not diplomatic, but rather intelligence, that serve the US strategy, and there are political forces that support these suspicious moves."
The independent politician, Saad Al-Mutalabi, had pointed the finger at the Iraqi Foreign Ministry for failing to hold the US ambassador accountable and for her blatant interference in Iraq. End / 25 h
