     Information / Baghdad
Today, Friday, Representative Hai Al-Salami confirmed that more than 320 reports related to corruption files and abuses of public funds had been submitted within two years.
Al-Salami told Al-Maalouma, “These files relate to ministries, government agencies and institutions in Baghdad and the rest of the provinces.”
He added, "There is activity by the Integrity and Public Prosecution Office in accelerating the pace of pending cases and concluding investigations to submit them to the Iraqi judiciary for resolution."
He pointed out that "corruption is complex in Iraq and requires redoubled efforts in order to uncover all its networks that have been pervasive for years," pointing out that "many important cases are currently being considered by the judiciary, awaiting the issuance of decisions against them."
State institutions suffer from corruption in their formations, which has led to negative repercussions in construction and reconstruction projects for years.
