Referring the Freedom of Expression Law to a vote

The Parliamentary Human Rights Committee has completed all amendments to the Freedom of Expression Law.
Committee Chairman Arshad Al-Salhi explained, in an interview with Al-Sabah, that the Freedom of Expression Law is ready to be voted on after it went through a difficult process through political tensions over it, in addition to the amendments that prevented its approval previously.
Al-Salhi added that the law went through difficult stages and finally reached the end, and all that remained was to vote on it so that it would gain its true legitimacy, indicating that it is one of the laws that express freedoms and pave the way for their legal expression. He explained that it is one of the sources of freedom that the people exercise in obtaining their rights peacefully, which is Democracy in all its aspects
