Chairman of the Parliamentary Human Rights Committee, Arshad Al-Salhi, confirmed today, Monday, the completion of all amendments to the Freedom of Expression Law.
Al-Salhi said in a statement followed by Mawazine News, “The freedom of expression law is ready to be voted on after it went through a difficult process through political tensions over it, in addition to the amendments that prevented its approval previously.”
He stated, "The law went through difficult stages and finally reached the end, and all that remains is to vote on it so that it gains its true legitimacy."
He added that "it is one of the laws that express freedoms and opens the way for their legal expression. It is the clearest source of freedom that the people exercise in obtaining their rights peacefully, which is democracy in all its aspects."
