Iraqi concern over Da’ish attack on Samarra’ city

Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi internal political concern is mounting for the Da’ish (ISIS) attack to
control an power station in Samarra’ city, which havens a number of Shiite holy places.
The Iraqi forces announced foiling a Da’ish attack against a power station in Samarra’ city, Salahal-din province, north of Baghdad .
The sources pointed that Iraqi army, police and mobilization forces checked back the attack made by suicidal Da’ish group to control the electricity facility.
“The attack resulted in killing 7 persons and closing the power facility, including 4 policemen and 3 workers”, the sources added.
Security sources reported that three Da’ish gunmen controlled the facility for a short period of time, but the Iraqi forces regained the control after three hours.
“The attackers exploded themselves at the end of the operation”, the sources confirmed.
Samarra’ city has many Shiite holy shrines, with strict security measures inside the city.
