    MP from the Rafidain Bloc Imad Youkhana, Wednesday, that maintain armament relationship between Iraq and Russia Letter to the United States that the chances of open arms to Iraq, stressing that the new meal of Russian weapons will improve the efficiency of Iraqi forces.









    He said Youkhana in a statement issued today, said that "directed Iraq to buy arms from Russia is a natural extension of arming decades of the Soviet and later a message to the United States that are associated with Iraq's Convention strategy that the chances arms open to Iraq with the openness of the global arms market and diversity."









    The Youkhana that "meal of new Russian weapons will improve the efficiency of Iraqi forces in the face of terrorist activities and monitoring, especially as it includes helicopters used in this area," adding that "Iraq today is free in its openness to countries that possess technology arm sophisticated serve Iraq in the fight against terrorism and keep safe. "









    The media adviser to Prime Minister Ali al-Moussawi said, in the (current 16 October), that Russia began to hand over arms to Iraq, according to the deal previously held between the two countries, pointing to cancel the deal after the previous marred by corruption and a new deal.





    According to Russian news agency, (31 June 2013), citing Chief Executive Officer of Russia Technology (Rostech) Sergei Himzov, that Russia began to abide by the implementation of arms exports contract with Iraq after receiving a sum of money from Baghdad as down payment for the deal.









    It is noteworthy that the deal met with a series of reactions by the political blocs, most notably by the Liberal bloc of the Sadrist movement, which considered that the charge close to the office of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to receive commissions from the Russian side to pass the arms deal can not be "passed unnoticed," calling al-Maliki to detect those involved and to prevent the suspects from traveling.
