    [ltr]A United Nations human rights investigator concluded that poverty in the United States is widespread and under the administration of President Donald Trump.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Philip Sutton, the UN rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights, called on the US authorities to provide strong social protection and tackle the underlying problems rather than punishing and besieging the poor.[/ltr]
