Former Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said on Thursday that the previous government had drawn up new foreign relations for Iraq, noting that it would be a support and help to Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi in order to make his mission a success.

"The previous government has drawn up new foreign relations for Iraq after defeating terrorism," Abadi said in a speech during his handover to Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi and followed by Alsumaria News, calling on all to "cooperate to preserve our country and the sacrifices of our martyrs."

"In front of Abdul Mahdi, there are great challenges that we must cooperate with," Abadi said, adding that "we will be a support to Abdul Mahdi to make his mission a success."

"We are proud of the democratic atmosphere of peaceful transition between governments in Iraq."

The House of Representatives voted during a meeting on Wednesday, the 14 ministers from the cabinet cabin presented by Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to parliament.
