    (Reuters) - Baha'i al-Araji, deputy prime minister of the former federal government, on Wednesday called on the Supreme Anti-Corruption Council to conduct an investigation.

    The leader of the Sadrist movement, Moqtada al-Sadr, had demanded earlier in the day all ministers and the special grades of the Liberal bloc in the former federal government introduced themselves to the Supreme Council for the fight against corruption.

    The Liberal bloc represented the Sadrist movement in the government and parliament in their previous sessions.

    [size=17]The leader of the Sadrist movement Muqtada al-Sadr on Wednesday all ministers and special degrees of the Liberal bloc in the former federal government introduced themselves to the Supreme Council for the fight against corruption.

    In a statement issued by his office today, Sadr called on other political parties to follow suit.

    The federal government headed by Adel Abdul Mahdi has formed a higher council to combat financial and administrative corruption rampant in the circles of the state and its institutions.
