The Ministry of Labor: Launching the National Youth Employment Policy at the end of this year

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced, on Wednesday, that the national policy for youth employment and vocational training will be launched at the end of this year and will include 37 programs aimed at advancing their professional status.
The Director General of the Department of Labor and Vocational Training at the Ministry, Dr. Raed Jabbar Bahed, said in an interview with Al-Sabah newspaper, which was followed by Al-Eqtisad News, that “the new policy by which the ministry targets unemployed youth includes a real action plan implemented in coordination with the International Labor Organization and a group of experts The ministry’s specialists in the field of work and vocational training ».
He added, "The new policy aims to absorb unemployment rates in society, reduce the number of unemployed, and provide them with job opportunities commensurate with their professional orientations, in addition to supplying the labor market with what it needs from them, with an indication of the real role of cooperation between governmental and non-governmental institutions in this regard."
Bahed stressed that “it is hoped to announce it at the end of this year, and it will be implemented and launched after it is approved by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers by adopting an implementation plan of its own,” indicating that “it will include 37 professional employment programs that will do justice to the working class in the country through the approval of a law. Labor and Social Security in coordination with the Parliamentary Labor and Social Affairs Committee, ”expressing his“ hope that the second reading of the law will take place within the next few days. ”
