The Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah, announced today, Wednesday, that Iraq's exit from Chapter VII is a step towards an effective foreign policy.
Abdullah said in a statement, "We congratulate the Iraqi people for the Foreign Minister's announcement that Iraq has exited from the procedures of Chapter VII of the United Nations, fulfilled all its international obligations, and paid compensation due to the invasion of the former regime of the State of Kuwait in 1990," praising "the tireless efforts of Iraqi diplomacy and ending the file of compensation, which constituted burdens." economic and financial burden on the people and lasted for more than thirty years.”
Abdullah expressed his great happiness for this important achievement of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, pointing out that "Iraq's exit from Chapter VII is a great progress and a step towards an influential foreign policy regionally and globally, and strengthening cooperation with the international community."
