Earth News/ Minister of Justice Salar Abdul Sattar Muhammad stressed today, Monday, the importance of continuing cooperation between Iraq and Iran, to implement the agreements signed regarding the exchange of experiences and the exchange of sentenced prisoners.
A statement of the Ministry of Justice received by Earth News stated, "In the presence of the Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, Ziyad Khalifa Al-Tamimi, and Director General of the Judicial Relations Department Ahmed Laibi Abdul Hussein, the Minister received in his official office at the Ministry's headquarters, the Iranian Ambassador, Muhammad Kazem Al Sadiq, and his accompanying delegation, congratulating him on his victory." His new position is Iran's ambassador to Iraq.
The minister explained, "The importance of implementing the agreement on the exchange of convicted prisoners for legal and judicial cooperation, during which Iraqi and Iranian prisoners were exchanged between the two countries," noting that "his recent visit to Iran came in the context of concluding more agreements that are in the interest of the two countries."
For his part, the Iranian ambassador affirmed his country's readiness to enhance joint cooperation in all areas related to its work, especially the agreements signed in the field of prisoner exchange, and other agreements regulating legal relations and judicial and training notifications between the two sides.
