"The understanding exists to hold a parliamentary session" .. Kurdistan Democratic Party: It is required to write the government program
Shafaq News / The Kurdistan Democratic Party's parliamentary bloc announced today, Monday, that there is an understanding between the political blocs to hold a parliamentary session next Wednesday, while revealing the requirements of the next stage after the party joined the State Administration Alliance.
The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party parliamentary bloc, Vian Sabri, told Shafaq News Agency; "The Presidency of the House of Representatives has set, on Wednesday, a date for the parliament session, and there is an understanding between the political blocs to hold it."
Sabri added that "the current stage is sensitive and needs a lot of positive atmosphere, and that the Kurdistan Democratic Party is within the new coalition (state administration), and that the new stage is writing the government program for the candidate for the position of prime minister."
And Sabri continued, "Today we have a caretaker government, and Parliament is suspended, and we need a new stage of political understandings, and that the stage that went was sensitive and dangerous, and today we look at the new stage positively with the political forces."
The Shiite coordination framework welcomed today, Monday, the decision of the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, to resume the work of Parliament and set next Wednesday as a date for holding a session, while calling on the Kurdish forces, to “resolve their candidate for the presidency,” welcoming at the same time the “participation of all national forces, especially the current Sadr in dialogues, government formation and state administration.
Today, Monday, the Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi, explained the reasons for submitting his resignation from the presidency of the parliament, while the framework responded that the resignation may be accepted.
