The Parliamentary Rights Bloc announced, on Saturday, its intention to work to "reduce the gaps" between the political forces and spare the country more crises, while it indicated that it had previously withdrew from the House of Representatives "dedication and selflessness" with the resigned Sadrist bloc.
"The movement is one of the new and young movements, and it is participating for the first time in the elections and represents various oppressed and marginalized Iraqi segments in order to recover their stolen and lost rights," said the head of the Parliamentary Rights Bloc, Hussein Mounis, during a press conference held at the parliament building.
He added, "The movement withdrew when fellow brothers in the Sadrist bloc announced their resignation from the House of Representatives in order to establish a new moral principle based on dedication, altruism, self-denial and non-conflict."
The head of the bloc continued,
Mounis noted that "our accession to the House of Representatives came in accordance with the entitlement of the votes of our voters, despite the unfairness and the theft of votes that the movement was subjected to during the electronic counting and sorting process, which we expressed our reservations about with clear positions and in peaceful ways.
Monis stated that "the rights movement was a national and popular product so that our voice would be independent and not linked to a specific political party or party. Therefore, the rights will defend the rights of the Iraqi people, and that our joining the House of Representatives is a message to everyone who thinks best of us, and we will be a model in serving our people."
Earlier today, Saturday, a deputy from the Badr bloc, and three lawmakers, took the constitutional oath as members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, instead of the resigned Sadrist representatives. Ended 29/R77
