    Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein discussed, on Monday, with the French Ambassador to Iraq, Eric Chevalier, the second session of the Baghdad Cooperation and Partnership Conference in Amman.
    The ministry stated in a statement, which Mawazine News received a copy of, that "Hussein received the French ambassador to Iraq, Eric Chevalier, and during the meeting they discussed issues of common interest and what contributes to strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, the most prominent of which is the holding of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership in its session. The second is in Amman, with the participation of France, to discuss regional and international challenges, achieve common interests, and emphasize Iraq's vital role in laying the foundations for security and stability in the region.
    She added, "The two sides agreed to coordinate with the Jordanian side to prepare for holding the conference, and they discussed the outcomes of the COP27 Climate Summit held in Sharm El-Sheikh, and how to establish cooperation in this field."
    For his part, the French ambassador congratulated the minister on the occasion of forming the new government, and renewed confidence in him as minister of the Republic of Iraq, stressing "the French government's support for the new government."
    He referred to "French President Emmanuel Macron's message to Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, which emphasizes the continuity of relations with Iraq and work to strengthen them."

    Shafaq News / The Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein discussed, on Monday, with the French Ambassador, Eric Chevalier, the second session of the Baghdad Cooperation and Partnership Conference in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
    This came during the Iraqi Foreign Minister's reception of the French ambassador in Baghdad, according to a statement received by Shafaq News Agency.
