In the way of parliamentary oversight, the State Shura Council issued a decision stipulating that a member of the House of Representatives is not entitled to request information and documents from state departments and the public sector except through standing committees, a decision that deputies deem as a restriction on their oversight role.

The decision, according to legal interpretation, is a clear violation of the constitution and the internal system of parliament, which gave the deputy the right to legislate and exercise the oversight role over state institutions.
