    Al-Hayat news:
    The House of Representatives finished its sixth session of its second legislative term for the second legislative year within the electoral cycle, headed by the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, and the presence of 176 deputies Today, reading and discussing four bills.
    A statement by the media department received by Al-Hayat Al-Akhbar said that at the outset of the session, First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi directed the formation of a joint parliamentary committee consisting of legal, foreign relations, security and defense committees to study the border demarcation file between Iraq and the State of Kuwait and submit its report on the subject.
    Explaining that, the Council completed (first reading) the draft law of the first amendment to the law of seizing and confiscating movable and immovable funds belonging to the pillars of the previous regime No. (72) of 2017, submitted by the legal, financial, immigration and displaced committees, for the purpose of abolishing the ministerial committee formed under the law and entrusting it tasks to the judiciary.
    He added that, during the session, part of which was chaired by Shakhwan Abdullah, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Council continued reading and discussing the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Marrakesh Treaty to facilitate access to published works for the benefit of persons who are blind, visually impaired, or have other disabilities in reading publications. Submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.
    On the other hand, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Shakhwan Abdullah, directed the Parliamentary Finance Committee to clarify the reasons for the high exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar, and the failure to implement the federal budget instructions so far.
    The Council completed the reading and discussion of the draft law of the second amendment to the Personal Liability Insurance Law for employees of state departments and the public sector No. (47) for the year 1990, submitted by the legal and financial committees.
    The ladies and gentlemen of the deputies expressed their interventions regarding the insurance law, including how to include the personal responsibility of the employee who fails to perform his work, or to secure the public treasury responsibility for that, with the exception of the employee who deliberately He neglects his work and commits an act that harms the state treasury, or any actions of the employee that result in his conviction for any of the corruption crimes. Or illegitimate gains, as well as the insurance ceiling according to the seriousness of the work he performs.
    The Council completed reading and discussing the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the 1997 Protocol.To amend the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships of 1973 in its amended form by the 1978 Protocol related to it, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee. Pointing out that, the session was adjourned to next Thursday
