    The thirty-second session of the Executive Committee meeting of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union began today, Wednesday, September 20, 2023, in the capital, Baghdad.

    The media department reported[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1042859520/%D9%85%D8%AC%D9%84%D8%B3 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%86%D9%88%D8%A7%D8%A8/ar/]Parliament[/url]Al-Iraqi, in a statement received by Al-Sumaria News, said that the work of the thirty-second session of the meeting[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1143801715/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%86%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA%D9%86%D9%81%D9%8A%D8%B0%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]executive committee[/url]The Arab Parliamentary Union was launched under the chairmanship of Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives in the capital[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].


     
    On the other hand, Al-Mandalawi stressed that “this important meeting of the heads of delegations of the participating countries coincides with political developments and extremely dangerous local and international circumstances,” noting “the importance of its work achieving the desired results that our peoples are waiting for, and who rely greatly on our parliaments that make up this union of ours, and that they contribute to Building more bridges of communication and cooperation between Arab brothers.” 

    The Chairman of the session expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to both the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Libya for what happened to them as a result of the devastating earthquake, hurricane and torrential rains that claimed the lives of thousands of brothers, asking God Almighty to have mercy on the victims and grant the injured a speedy recovery.

    Al-Mandalawi denounced what the Israeli occupation authorities do on a daily basis against our Palestinian brothers, and their blatant violations of the holy places, thereby violating all legitimate and international conventions and resolutions.

    The session is scheduled to address ways to develop the Union’s work, address its financial conditions, and the draft budget for the year 2024, in addition to determining the time and place of the 33rd session of the Executive Committee and setting the draft agenda for the Union’s next conference. The session will also discuss the restructuring of the special committees emanating from[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/1143801715/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%86%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA%D9%86%D9%81%D9%8A%D8%B0%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]executive committee[/url]And review the report of the Secretary-General of the Union on the implementation of the decisions of the previous conferences of the Union and its activities.
