Today, Sunday (September 24, 2023), the Central Bank of Iraq deposited 250 billion dinars into the bank account of the Kurdistan Region.
A statement by the Ministry of Finance and Economy in the region, received by "Baghdad Today", stated that "the Central Bank deposited an amount of 250 billion dinars in the bank account of the Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan region of Iraq."
The statement indicated that "the deposited amount is part of the process of financing the salaries of employees in the region."
On (September 20, 2023), a source in the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Regional Government revealed the federal government’s intention to send an amount of 700 billion dinars to the Kurdistan Region next Sunday.
The source told “Baghdad Today,” “The federal government is scheduled to send a loan worth 700 billion dinars in the form of two payments to the Kurdistan region, on Sunday, to distribute last July’s salaries to employees, after which the Kurdistan government will publish the salary distribution schedule.”
