    Member of the Planning and Government Program Follow-up Committee, Muhammad Karim, held the Kurdistan Regional Government responsible for the delay in disbursing employees’ salaries in the region, pointing out the refusal of the authorities in Kurdistan to resolve the issue of settling salaries with banks.

    Karim told Al-Maalouma, “The Kurdistan Regional Government bears responsibility for the salaries of its employees, as the regional government did not leave Baghdad any choice in determining the value of the salaries of Kurdistan employees.”
    He added, "The regional government must deal according to positive logic and sincere intentions with the aim of resolving the problems between Baghdad and Erbil, especially with regard to the file of employee salaries."
    He stated that "the main problem related to the region's employees lies in the fact that their government does not localize salaries to the banks, and therefore there is no database for employees in the region through which salaries can be calculated." Ended 25 n
