Israel arming Myanmar amid a campaign of genocide for the Rohingya Muslims

    19:40 - 05/09/2017.

The Middle East website published a report by Aribullah, saying that Israel continued to sell arms to Myanmar, while thousands of Rwandan refugees fled the violent army campaign in Rakhine State.

According to the report, the arms deal sold to Myanmar included 100 tanks, weapons and boats to guard the water frontier, according to human rights groups and Burmese officials.

The Israeli arms sales companies, such as Tar Idil, have trained the Burmese Special Forces, which currently operate in Rakhine State, where most of the violence takes place, he said, adding that photographs posted on the company's website showed that the company's personnel were training Burmese Special Forces Combat tactics and the use of certain weapons.

The website notes that it is expected that the Israeli Supreme Court will hold a hearing in September to consider a petition by activists urging the Israeli government to stop arms exports to Myanmar, as both the United States and the European Union are imposing a ban on the sale of arms to Myanmar.

"Israel does not control how it can use its weapons after sending them to Burma," says the lawyer, who is a human rights activist. "But from Tar Idil, we know they are Arm and train the Burmese special forces operating in Rakhine State now. "

According to the author, the petition was submitted in January after visits by Israeli officials to Myanmar to discuss arms deals, pointing out that after the submission of the petition, the Israeli Ministry of Defense said that the court had no authority over the case and claimed that arms sales to Myanmar were clear "diplomacy".

The website notes that Israel maintained strong relations with Myanmar and maintained strong trade relations over the years, noting that these relations existed before the military gave up power.

The Myanmar army chief of staff on Friday tried to defend the evacuation of the villages, saying the army was ending "incomplete work" from the remnants of the Second World War.

Middle East A concludes its report by pointing out that both the Israeli Ministry of Defense and the Israeli Embassy in London refused to issue a declaration on the export of arms to Myanmar.
