BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A member of the Integrity Committee, former parliamentarian Ardalan Noureddine, announced Sunday that his committee has sent the majority of corruption files to the public performance and the Integrity Commission, noting that the remaining files are very few.
"The Integrity Commission has many files of corruption belonging to the state departments, most of which were sent to the Integrity and Public Prosecution Commission," Nour al-Din told Iraq News.
He added that "the Paradise still has a few files did not achieve high completion rates and will go to the next session of parliament, including the issue of" Ona Oil "and issues of private banks.
The Iraqi parliament ended its parliamentary session on Saturday after completing four calendar years

The charges included paying bribes to Iraqi officials to ensure that two major oil and construction companies have international contracts

The trial of an oil company accused of four corruption cases, including bribery of Iraqi oil officials, has begun through the Serious Fraud Office.

Una Oil, run by the Iranian "Ehsani" family, has been accused of paying bribes to Iraqi officials to ensure two major oil and construction firms have contracts.

In March, the Serious Fraud Office began collecting information and investigating the work of Ona Oil.

A member of the Hassani family, owned by Ona Oil, said their company had worked through two branches and was now in bankruptcy, and that the Fraud Office's investigations were the main reason for the company's bankruptcy.

According to the Fraud Office, one of the charges against Ona Oil was to pay bribes to Iraqi officials for a $ 733 million contract for Australian firm Leighton to build two oil pipelines in southern Iraq.

Other charges against Ona Oil include charges of bribing Iraqi officials to obtain a contract for SBM Offshore Oil Company to build an oil platform at sea for the Iraqi government.

The Westminster High Court summoned Ona Oil to appear before the court on July 18, and as an initial step, the Fraud Office charged four people in the case.

Ziyad al-Aqal and Basil Jarrah, who are based in Britain, accused of bribing Iraqi officials. According to the Fraud Office, al-Aqal was director of Ona Oil in Iraq, and the surgeon was a partner in the company.

The other two defendants are Paul Bond, SBM Offshore Sales Officer, and Stephen Whitley, the company's vice president.
