Central Bank of Iraq (CBE) data showed Thursday a $ 209.72 million sale of foreign currency, compared to sales of $ 210.79 million on Wednesday.
In a statement received by Mawazine News, the Central Bank said that the exchange rate reached 1190 dinars per dollar in the auction held with the participation of 30 banks in addition to one financial transfer company.
The Central Bank said that the sales executed today are the results of the auction on Sunday, explaining that the total sales totaled $ 230.79 million.
According to the central statement, the volume of funds sold to boost bank balances abroad amounted to $ 209.32 million, while total cash sold was estimated at $ 400,000.
The sale of the amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad at the price of 1190 dinars per dollar, and the sale of cash will be the same price.
