Baghdad Municipality announces the reopening of more than 587 closed streets in the capital

The Baghdad Municipality has reopened more than 587 closed streets in the capital since the start of the campaign, under the direction of the prime minister and in coordination with the Baghdad Operations Command and the General Traffic Directorate.
The Directorate of Relations and Information in the Secretariat said in a statement received by the 'orbit' that 'the municipal departments and in coordination with the Baghdad Operations Command and the General Traffic Directorate opened more than (587) main streets and sub-section of a number of tunnels in the capital closed because of the security situation since 2003 According to the plan included the rehabilitation of those streets, which contributed to reducing traffic jams as well as ongoing campaigns to lift the concrete blocks'.
The city of Al-Ghadeer opened 13 streets and the municipality of Al-Karkh opened 16 streets and the municipality of Mansour opened 117 streets and the municipality opened 132 streets and the new Baghdad municipality opened 45 streets and the municipality opened 13 streets and municipality Rasafa opened (24) streets'.

She pointed out that 'the Secretariat of Baghdad continues to implement its campaign to re-open all main streets and sub-closed in accordance with the directives of the Prime Minister and in coordination with the Baghdad Operations Command and the General Traffic Directorate to reduce traffic momentum in most areas of the capital'.
