    [size=45]The states party to the Arab Anti-Corruption Convention have unanimously chosen the head of the Iraqi Integrity Commission, Judge ( Alaa Jawad Al-Saadi ) as Vice-President of the fourth session of the Conference of States Parties, whose current session the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is chairing.[/size]
    [size=45]The conference, which will be held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, from March 22-23, 2022, was headed by the head of the Federal Integrity Commission, Judge (Alaa Jawad Al-Saadi), in which a number of ministers concerned with combating corruption in member states of the League of Arab States from (14) participated. An Arab country, in the presence of a number of international and regional organizations.[/size]
    [size=45]The conference discussed a number of decisions that would enhance Arab action in combating corruption, including the speed of cooperation and sharing of information related to corruption, to ensure that Arab countries are not transit stations or safe havens for the corrupt and their money; In order to strengthen the efforts of Arab countries in drying up the sources of corruption, through the exchange of expertise and experience in strengthening preventive measures to reduce corruption, including criminalizing bribery of foreign public officials, establishing responsibility for the ordinary person, as well as strengthening regional cooperation in investigations into cross-border corruption cases. and the prosecution of perpetrators, including cases where the recovery of the proceeds of crime is required.[/size]
    [size=45]The closing session resulted in a number of important decisions and topics, most notably the adoption of the mechanism for implementing the Arab Anti-Corruption Convention, and the adoption of a new mechanism that contributes to strengthening joint Arab action, in addition to discussing the proposal to prepare a draft Arab protocol supplementary to the Arab Anti-Corruption Convention related to cooperation in the field of money recovery. Revenues from corruption and smuggling abroad, and the adoption of a decision to invite all states parties to the Arab Agreement to join the Riyadh Initiative ( GLOBE Network ).[/size]
    [size=45]It is noteworthy that the head of the Commission, Judge (Alaa Jawad Al-Saadi) heads the Arab Network for Promoting Integrity and Combating Corruption, and is also the representative of Iraq in the Arab and UN conventions against corruption; After him as head of the Integrity Commission entrusted with representing Iraq in those two agreements.[/size]
