[size=45]A security source revealed today, Thursday, the issuance of an arrest warrant against a leader in the State of Law coalition on charges of premeditated murder, while the security forces refrain from implementing the warrant.[/size]
[size=45]The source said that "an arrest warrant for premeditated murder in accordance with Article 406 of the Iraqi Penal Code was issued against a leader and a parliamentarian for three parliamentary sessions within the State of Law coalition from Basra Governorate."[/size]
[size=45]And he indicated that "the security authorities refrain from carrying out the arrest process despite the existence of an explicit judicial decision," noting that "there is political pressure exerted by the State of Law coalition that prevents the implementation of the arrest process against the leader in the coalition."[/size]
