    [size=45]The Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, affirmed that the Iraqi government is committed to the constitution, which prohibits making the country a springboard for aggression against its neighbors, stressing that Iraq will continue with Iran "joint efforts to confront terrorism and extremism."[/size]
    [size=45]According to a statement by the Prime Minister’s Media Office, Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani stressed, during his meeting, in Tehran, with the Iranian Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, today, Tuesday (November 29, 2022), “the importance of maintaining bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields,” noting that “the government is committed to the constitution.” The Iraqi who prevents Iraq from being made a launching pad for aggression against its neighbours.[/size]

    [size=45]The statement quoted the Iranian Supreme Leader as saying, “Iraq is a large country with its resources and youth, and its people deserve stability and services.”[/size]
    [size=45]Ali Khamenei stressed that “the security of Iraq is the security of the Islamic Republic,” calling on “the Iraqi people for more unity and solidarity,” according to the statement.[/size]
    [size=45]In turn, the Iranian media quoted Khamenei as regretting that “some regions of Iraq are being used to destabilize Iran’s security,” stressing that “the only solution is for the Iraqi government to extend its authority over those regions as well.”[/size]
    [size=45]Khamenei congratulated Al-Sudani on his election as prime minister, saying that “it is a pleasure to have a believer and capable individual at the head of the Iraqi government.”[/size]
    [size=45]The Iraqi Prime Minister had confirmed that Iraq would not be a starting point for harming neighboring countries, pointing to his government's commitment not to allow any parties to use Iraqi land to disturb security in Iran.[/size]
    [size=45]"We adopt our foreign policies according to the principle of mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs, and there will be field coordination to avoid any escalation," he said in a joint press conference with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, at the beginning of his visit to Iran.[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Sudani believed that “dialogue is the best way to solve security problems, and that the government is committed to developing prospects for cooperation with the Islamic Republic in all fields in line with mutual interests.”[/size]
