The Ministry of Planning announced, on Wednesday, that the monthly inflation rate decreased by 0.7% during the last March, compared to February.
“The inflation rate decreased by (0.7%) during the month of March, while the annual inflation rate witnessed an increase by (5.3%) during the month of March of this year with the same month of 2022.”
Al-Hindawi attributed the decrease in the inflation rate during March to “being affected by the decrease in the prices of a number of commodity groups, as the housing section decreased by (4.1%), as a result of the decrease in the water and electricity supply group by (24.4%), the fuel group by (1.6%), and maintenance and services.” Housing decreased by (0.1%).
Al-Hindawi added, “The transportation department also decreased by (1.3%), while the communication department decreased by (0.3%), and the entertainment and culture department decreased by (0.5%).”
