A security source revealed, on Thursday, that operations had begun to establish new buildings for American forces inside the Ain al-Asad air base, west of Anbar.
The source said in a statement to the Maalouma Agency, “The American forces have begun the process of constructing new buildings for their forces inside the Ain al-Asad air base, as part of a plan to increase the number of their forces after the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation and their exposure to missile attacks, and the failure of their interception by the American air defenses.”
He added, "The American forces had previously annexed new areas of land close to the base after paying sums of money to the landowners, in an indication that they would remain for a long-term period."
He explained, "The American forces intend to make major changes at the Ain al-Asad base in order to restore the large numbers that arrived at the base building."
It is noteworthy that a security source revealed earlier that the number of American forces had increased inside the Ain al-Assad base building for precautionary reasons after it was subjected to missile attacks. Ended / 12A
