    The Economist magazine highlighted, in a report it published, the emergency Arab and Islamic summit in Riyadh, which was held a month after the war on Gaza, which is still a daily occurrence on television and dialogue screens throughout the Middle East, pointing out that the plight of the Palestinians captures the attention of the Arabs and inflames feelings. , in a way that does not touch the plight of Yemen, Sudan, or Syria.

    According to the report, the joint summit ended with strong statements reflecting anger, calling for an immediate ceasefire, urging member states to “break the siege on Gaza,” and calling for the imposition of an arms embargo on Israel.
    The magazine explained that it is easy to ignore the meeting as just a “talk shop” that the Arab League usually holds, as a number of leaders denounced the double standards of the West, especially when it comes to the Palestinians. This is true, but they did this at the summit in which Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who is considered one of the biggest war criminals of the current century, participated.

    At a conference this November, Khalid Al-Falih, the Saudi Minister of Investment, said: “This is not on the table,” and the Saudis want the stability of the oil market for years to come in order to finance the diversification of the economy.
    The outcome of the summit was divisive. Some Arabs were happy with the tough rhetoric, while others saw hesitation on the part of their governments and surrender to the war. If the meeting were stripped of military threats and economic boycotts, all that would remain was tough talk.
    Special interests of states
