Today, Monday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani discussed with representatives of the Chinese Railway Company, projects to relieve traffic congestion in Baghdad.
The Council of Ministers stated, in a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News, that “Al-Sudani received representatives of the Chinese Railway Company, which is implementing the Nisour Square development project in central Baghdad, as part of the first package of projects to relieve traffic congestion in the capital, Baghdad.”
During the meeting, which was attended by a number of advisors to the Prime Minister, the Chinese company provided "an explanation of its available capabilities and capabilities that enable it to participate in the implementation of the recently announced Baghdad Metro Project, and the expertise it has available to contribute to the implementation of this vital and important project."
It is noteworthy that 26 international companies from Germany, Italy, Spain, China, India and Qatar expressed their desire to participate in the implementation of the metro project, after it was announced on the eighth of February, and the signing of contracts with the company specialized in providing consulting services for the project.
