The Ministry of Planning announced today, Monday, July 1, as the final date for the entry of products that do not bear the Iraqi quality mark.
The Ministry stated in a statement received by Mawazine News that “The Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, which is one of the formations of the Ministry of Planning, called on the companies that manufacture the products.” Electric cigarettes and cigarettes imported to Iraq must obtain the Iraqi Quality Mark for their imported products.”
He stressed, "This decision came based on the decision of the Ministerial Council for Economy," indicating that "the products included household electric storage water heaters, in addition to room heaters, as well as electrical cooling devices (refrigerator, freezer), as well as air conditioners, electric ovens, and cigarettes." .
He continued, "The last date on which the above-mentioned products, which do not bear the Iraqi quality mark, are allowed to enter Iraq is the first of next July 2024," stressing that "the competent regulatory authorities will take legal measures against those who violate this decision."
