Investment Authority: There are no violations in granting investment licenses

Yesterday, Monday, the National Investment Authority denied what was circulated by some media platforms regarding legal and administrative violations in granting previous investment approvals and licenses for its projects in Baghdad and the governorates. A statement by the authority stated that “all its legal and administrative procedures are carried out in accordance with the provisions of the law and the relevant Cabinet decisions, and its decisions are not subject to courtesies, and that the context of its work is fixed as stipulated in Investment Law No. (13) of 2006 as amended.” According to the statement, the National Investment Authority called on “the legislative institution, members of the House of Representatives, and all supervisory institutions, to support its efforts aimed at stimulating the investment movement, enhancing the elements of confidence in the Iraqi investment environment, and supporting its procedural plans in the context of the government program, while noting the observed cases and treating them with the law.”
It called on “those interested in the private sector to follow its news and activities through its website and official platforms to obtain accurate decisions and information.”
