The technical advisor to the Prime Minister, Muhammad Sahib Al-Daraji, confirmed that Iraq will sign with Chinese companies to implement the new Sadr City.
Al-Daraji said that the huge projects implemented by the government are taking place within a short time, after the bridge previously took 7 years to implement, noting that Chinese companies have requested an extension to submit final bids and will close within two weeks from now.
He confirmed that the Baghdad Municipality has identified a mini-list that includes 5 major companies from China to implement the new Sadr City, explaining that during the next two months we will begin implementing the new Sadr City.
Al-Daraji stated that the government will compensate the trespassers on the lands and move them to other areas.
