    The Russian Defense Ministry announced the killing of 40 terrorists from "Daash", an air raid launched by Russian fighter jets in the vicinity of the Syrian city of Deir al-Zour.

    According to a ministry statement, on September 5, information was obtained about a leadership plan for a meeting in a command center in the vicinity of Deir al-Zour.

    "After checking the available information and conducting the reconnaissance, two Russian Su-34 and Su-35 fighter aircraft launched an air strike using improvised explosive devices, which resulted in the liquidation of about 40 armed men, the destruction of command centers, His followers.

    "Among the militants killed were four field commanders, including Abu Muhammad al-Shamali, Amir Dir al-Zour, who is in charge of the organization's financial affairs," the statement said.
    The statement pointed out that Gul Murad Halimov, the "Minister of War" in Da'ash, was at the meeting, and was killed as a result of the raid. However, other sources reported that he was severely injured. He was taken to the town of Mohsan, 20 km southeast of Deir al-Zour.
    The Russian Defense Ministry announced that the raid of the two planes allowed to accelerate the lifting of the siege of Deir al-Zour, and provided the opportunity for the Syrian army to advance the liberation of the city.
