    [ltr]Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi on Thursday discussed with a delegation of Talas Company for Military Supplies to meet the requirements of the security forces, strengthen their capabilities, arm them and equip them with the necessary equipment to sustain the fight against terrorism.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Al-Abbadi's office said in a statement that the latter met at his residence in the French capital with representatives of the Talas Company for Military Equipment, headed by its director Patrick Caen, and later met with the delegation of French oil company Total.[/ltr]
    [ltr]He added that "the meeting discussed the requirements of the security forces and strengthen their capabilities, arming and equipping them with the necessary equipment to perpetuate the battle against terrorism and the clearing of the liberated areas of mines and remnants of war"[/ltr]
    [ltr]The director of Total Oil Company, according to the statement, "his desire to expand oil and gas investments in Iraq," stressing that "the company's keenness to deal with the federal government and the establishment and development of projects supporting the Iraqi economy in this area."[/ltr]
