The Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi met at his residence in the French capital with representatives of the Talas Company for Military Equipment headed by its director Patrick Caen. He also met with the delegation of French oil company Total, headed by company director Patrick Beunier.
"The demands of the security forces, their capabilities, their armament and the equipment needed to sustain the battle against terrorism and to clear the liberated areas of mines and war remnants have been discussed," a statement by the Prime Minister's Information Office said.
He added that "the director of Total Oil Company expressed his desire to expand oil and gas investments in Iraq, stressing the company's keenness to deal with the federal government and the establishment and development of projects supporting the Iraqi economy in this area."
