Dubai-based low-cost airline Flydubai and US aircraft maker Boeing have signed a $ 27 billion deal to purchase 225 737 Max aircraft.
The agreement was announced at a press conference on Thursday at the Dubai Air Show 2017.
Under the agreement, the Gulf carrier will purchase 175 737 Max, one-lane, with an option to purchase an additional 50 aircraft of the same model.
Flydubai has announced its first demand for 50 of the 737-800 aircraft in 2008, the third of its fleet since its launch in 2008 and 2013.
Established in 2008, flydubai operates a low-cost aviation system based in Dubai and operates from Dubai International Airport.
