A member of the Finance Committee of Parliament Haitham Jubouri, on Monday, the appointment of officials in the intelligence apparatus and the former regime of the repressive Customs Authority, confirming the existence of files of corruption in the body.
Al-Jubouri said in a statement to Al-Maaloumah that "intelligence officials and the former regime's repressive apparatuses, as well as officials issued with orders to withdraw a hand, have been appointed to the customs authority," without revealing their names and positions.
Jubouri added that "there are many corruption files in the form of customs," noting that "the revenues of the customs achieved in the year 2017 less than expected."
Jubouri revealed on Sunday that the revenues generated by the Customs Authority during the current year 2017 amounted to less than half a billion dollars, stressing that this indicates "great corruption" in the body. Ending / 25
