The head of the Dawa bloc, the internal organization Ali al-Badiri, Saturday, the government's decision to reduce the rate of tax on cars entering the country to 15% as "illogical and bidding" with the blood of Iraqis, noting that the adoption of decisions for "hostile" with the Kurdistan region will create "Internal problems". 

Al-Badairi said in an interview with Alsumaria News that "the government's decision to reduce the rate of tax on cars entering the country from 25% to 15% is surprising regardless of its causes or motives," pointing out that "any justification, whether to press the Kurdistan region or The other is an unrealistic justification, and things can not be resolved that way. "

"There is a clear inflation in the street in terms of the number of cars and there are traffic jams not found anywhere else in the world, and the absorption of the streets currently does not cover a quarter of the actual existence of wheels, which causes the loss of Iraqi blood due to the large number of incidents," adding that " "It means bidding for that blood, killing time, the biggest crime." 

He stressed that "taking these decisions for hostile purposes is limited with the Kurdistan region is an illogical method, and will create us internal problems instead of solving the simplest problems can be solved with the region according to the Constitution and the law." 

On Thursday (4 January 2017), the committee of border ports in the BasraGovernorate Council announced the implementation of a decision by the Federal Government to reduce customs duties to import new cars of all kinds from 25% to 15%.
