Federal confirms that the laws can not be invalid
10/1/2018 12:00 am [rtl]BAGHDAD / Al-Sabah The Federal Court said on Monday that the laws in force are applicable, pointing out that it is not permissible to disable them or arrest them on the grounds of instituting a lawsuit to challenge their unconstitutionality. The court's spokesman Ayas al-Samuk said in a statement to the court that "the directives of the Federal Supreme Court in accordance with its ruling No. (75/2015) confirm that the laws remain binding and enforceable by the authorities, even if they are subject to challenge their unconstitutionality "He said. Al-Samok added that "the court referred in this regard to Article (129) of the Constitution, which stipulates that" the laws shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall be in effect from the date of their publication unless otherwise specified. " The Federal Supreme Court shall remain in force unless otherwise provided in its statute, or a decision of the Federal Supreme Court to suspend its implementation.
