Lebanon to hand over former Iraqi minister of trade to BaghdadLebanon issued a decree to hand over the former Minister of Commerce, Abdul Falahal-Sudani, to Baghdad.
The decree states that "al-Sudani is required according to nine judicial rulings relating to cases of intentional damage, deliberate breaches of duties, damage to public funds and money laundering."
The decree added that "this decision was based on the provisions of the agreements concluded between Iraq and Lebanon, which provides for the extradition of wanted persons."
The Lebanese authorities have arrested the former Minister of Trade Abd al-Falah al-Sudani, at the Beirut International Airport on the background of an arrest warrant issued by Interpol. "
Al-Sudani, who also holds British citizenship, belongs to the "Advocacy and Reform" party, which distanced himself at the time and denied the Sudanese connection to the party.
