The deputy, Bader Al-Ziyadi, said that it might take months to determine the largest bloc.

He added, "Everyone knows that Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi passed in a consensual manner and not according to the constitution, and the bloc of other leaders has given up its right to the Iraqi people," noting that "defining the largest bloc may take months without reaching it."
He added, "The president of the republic may choose any independent figure to solve the crisis," stressing that "the constitutional period that was set for the selection of the prime minister will end next Thursday and the caretaker government will remain without a time limit until a new prime minister is found."
