On Thursday, the deputy from the Al-Fateh Alliance Fadel Al-Fatlawi confirmed that political differences kept Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani from competing for the post of prime minister, while he revealed intense political meetings with the President of the Republic Barham Saleh to name a new person within 48 hours.
Al-Fatlawi said in a statement to the "information", that "Al-Idani moved away from the competition department to obtain the position of prime minister because of the opposition of the political blocs on it," pointing out that "most of the names that were proposed were excluded because of a political reservation."
He added that "the political blocs are conducting intensive meetings with the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, to nominate the new Prime Minister, provided that it has the support of Parliament and the Street."
And that "the building coalition did not adopt the nomination of any new personality after the nomination of Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani to take over as prime minister."
Yesterday, the deputy for the Alliance of Asaad Abdel-Sadah affirmed that the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, had not yet received any book endorsing the nomination of an independent figure for the prime minister. It ended 25 T.
