, Minister of Planning, Nuri al-Dulaimi, revealed on Sunday that about $ 40 billion of it is going out of Iraq because of the import.
Al-Dulaimi said, in a post on his account on the social networking site (Facebook), and seen by Mawazine News, that "the volume of payments (salaries, retirees and sponsorships) exceeded fifty billion dollars annually from oil sales," noting that "90% of them are spent by beneficiaries." On imported goods, and 32% of this spending is on food and drinks. "
He added, "This means, annually, more than (40) billion dollars (in state payments) is directed out of Iraq for import," stressing that "we need to transfer 10% annually of this spending to domestic production instead of the importer, and we start with food and drinks."
He emphasized that "agriculture is the one who drives the wheel of development and a sustainable solution by activating the role of the private sector." Ended 6/29 n
