On Friday, the Ministry of Electricity announced the beginning of converting daily wage employees into contracts, while it revealed the latest developments in the two files of electrical interconnection with the Gulf countries and Jordan.

Ministry spokesman Ahmed Moussa said in a statement to the official agency, followed by "people", (May 14, 2021), that "the ministry has begun to actually initiate the transfer of wages into contracts and some companies have started that." Wage earners into contracts. "

"
He continued, "Iraq is supposed to link the Al-Zour station to the Al-Faw station, and thus establish an electrical connection between Iraq and the Gulf Link Authority."
Concerning the connection with Jordan, Moussa said that "the project is being implemented by General Electric and requires 26 months, as a first stage, which requires linking more than 350 megawatts with the western governorates." ".
